This three-day trip will take you to one of the most rugged state parks in Texas. The Caprock Canyon area was first discovered by Spanish explorer Coronado, and later became home to the Comanche tribe.

The highlight of this trip is the three-hour tour on horseback through Caprock Canyon, and a two-day backpacking trek through Quitaque Canyon and the Clarity Tunnel, one of the last active railroad tunnels in Texas. Whether you are an experienced backpacker or just starting out, this adventure has something for everyone. Hiking will be on moderate terrain led by the experienced backpacking and climbing guides of the North Texas Outdoor Pursuit Center.
